Error Code F dH
Defrost heater error / defrosting failure
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
How to Fix
- 1
Check door gaskets for damage. If gasket is damaged: replace door gasket and retest.
- 2
Measure defrost heater resistance at CON9 pins 5 to 13 in TEST MODE 3 (push test button 3 times). Expected voltage: 112V–116V.
- 3
If voltage is 112–116V: check defrost control part (Fuse-M and heater resistance). Fuse-M resistance should be 0Ω. Defrost heater resistance should be 62–70Ω (F1-DEF-HTR, part 1) and 144–167Ω (F2-DEF-HTR, part 2).
- 4
If Fuse-M or heater resistance is out of spec (42–50Ω combined): replace Fuse-M or defrost heater assembly.
- 5
If voltage is 0V in TEST MODE 3: enter TEST MODE 1 (push test button 1 time) and measure voltage at CON9 pins 5 to 13. If OV: replace Main PCB.
- 6
Check defrost sensor resistance at CON8 pins 26 to 25. If OL or reading above 22kΩ indicating sensor is not at expected temperature: replace defrost sensor.
- 7
If all components test good: replace the product (sealed system issue may be preventing proper defrost).
