How to Fix
- 1
Step 1: Check door gasket for damage. If gasket is damaged, replace door gasket.
- 2
Step 2: Check defrost control parts. Measure heater resistance at CON9 5th Pin ~ 13th Pin in Test Mode 1. Expected resistance: 42~500 ohm. If out of range, proceed to Step 3.
- 3
Step 3: Activate Test Mode 3 (push test button 3 times). Measure voltage at CON9 5th Pin ~ 13th Pin. If voltage is 112~116V, heater voltage is correct.
- 4
Step 4: If voltage is NOT 112~116V in Test Mode 3, replace Main PCB.
- 5
Step 5: Activate Test Mode 1 (push test button 1 time). Measure voltage at CON9 5th Pin ~ 13th Pin. If voltage is 0V, heater circuit is correct.
- 6
Step 6: If voltage is NOT 0V in Test Mode 1, replace Main PCB.
- 7
Step 7: Check defrost sensor resistance. If sensor is open (OL) or reads ~22kΩ at room temperature, replace sensor.
- 8
Step 8: If all checks pass, explain to customer — unit is operating normally.
