What This Means

First Thing to Check
Check if your dishes feel cold after a cycle — if so, the heater has likely failed
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
1. Check the connections of the heater connectors — reconnect if loose
- 2
2. Check the resistance between both ends of the heater directly, or check the resistance between the red wire of the Heater Relay and the black and yellow wires of the Power Relay — Normal: approximately 12.14-14.16 ohms. Check after disconnecting circuit breaker or power cable
- 3
3. Check the connections of the Heater Relay in Main PBA — reconnect if loose. Check the voltage between the Red wire of the Heater Relay on the base and the White wire of the CN101 connector — Normal: 110-120V while operating
- 4
4. Check the drain hose installation condition — if water level in tub is low, the safety program prevents heater operation, causing HE error
- 5
5. Check the thermistor — see tC check code procedure
- 6
6. If heater tests normal, replace Main PBA
