What actually causes this:

Ice maker supply line heater element failed

First Thing to Check

Check if ice is forming in the water line to ice maker

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Detect open error by heater element measurement

  2. 2

    After separating DC YEL1 Connector, measure resistance between pins 14 and 17

  3. 3

    Resistance should be 135 ohm ± 7%

  4. 4

    0 ohm indicates short

  5. 5

    Infinity ohm indicates open circuit

  6. 6

    Must power off before measuring
