Error Code 2C
Fridge temperature sensor is disconnected or out of range
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: 2C
What This Means
Sensor housing connector disconnected or loose at Main PCB CN20; Sensor wire open circuit or short circuit; Defective temperature sensor; Corroded or damaged connector pins
What actually causes this:
The wire going to the fridge temperature sensor has come loose or the sensor itself has failed, so the control board cannot read the compartment temperature.
First Thing to Check
Open the fridge compartment, locate the temperature sensor connector, and make sure it is firmly plugged in.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check that Main PCB connector CN20 is fully inserted
- 2
Measure voltage between CN20 PIN 9 and PIN 11; it should read 4.5V to 1.0V
- 3
Compare measured voltage to the temperature/voltage table in the manual
- 4
If voltage is out of range, disconnect sensor and check wiring continuity
- 5
Replace temperature sensor if wiring is intact but reading is wrong
