Error Code R
Fresh food section is not sensing temperature correctly
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: R
What This Means
Bad connector contact at CN30; Sensor unit malfunction; Voltage reading outside 0.6V-4.6V range; Iced or bridged solder on PCB; Defective MICOM input at pin #5
What actually causes this:
Sensor wire loose at connector or temperature sensor bulb defective
First Thing to Check
Check if sensor connector is fully seated on the main board
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
1. Check MAIN PCB Connector CN30 insertion
- 2
2. Measure voltage between CN30-5 and CN30-6 (should be 0.6V-4.6V)
- 3
3. Verify input voltage at IC01 MICOM pin #5
- 4
4. Inspect for iced-solder or solder bridging
- 5
5. Compare measured values to temperature reference table
- 6
6. Check resistance value R304 on MICOM pin #5
