Heater wire harness disconnected at Main PCB CN51 pins 1 and 2; Heater element open circuit or burned out; Heater shorted to ground or to other components; Main PCB defective

What actually causes this:

Heater element burned out or wire disconnected

Check if door handles have condensation or frost forming

How to Fix

  1. 1

    1. Unplug refrigerator

  2. 2

    2. Disconnect Main PCB CN51 wire from PCB

  3. 3

    3. Measure resistance between CN51 pins 1 and 2 — normal 135 ohm ± 7%

  4. 4

    4. If 0 ohm: heater shorted, replace door handle heater

  5. 5

    5. If infinite: wire open, replace heater or wire

  6. 6

    6. If normal: check Main PCB relay
