What This Means

Compressor piston or rotor mechanically jammed; Liquid slugging (refrigerant/oil mixture preventing rotation); Internal mechanical failure; Inverter not providing adequate drive current; Low input voltage preventing sufficient motor current

What actually causes this:

Compressor internal mechanical failure or frozen refrigerant

Listen for buzzing or clicking sounds from the compressor

How to Fix

    1. Check input voltage at power cord — should be approximately 115V AC

  2. 2

    2. If voltage is normal, check inverter DC 15V output — must be at least 13.5V

    3. Check solder joints on Inverter PCB

  4. 4

    4. Listen for compressor mechanical sounds — grinding indicates internal damage

  5. 5

    5. Check compressor power connectors are seated properly

  6. 6

    6. If all power and inverter checks are normal, compressor is mechanically failed
