Error Code COMP_IPM_FAULT
Compressor drive circuit detected an abnormal current condition
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: Inverter LED blinks 2 times
What This Means
Open circuit in compressor wiring (CN102); Bad soldering at shunt resistor R1 on inverter board; Compressor winding fault; Refrigerant cycle anomaly
What actually causes this:
The inverter board detected a current spike or open circuit in the compressor drive, which could be a bad connection or a failing compressor.
First Thing to Check
Inspect the wiring harness connectors between the inverter board and the compressor for any loose pins.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check compressor wire connections at CN102
- 2
Inspect solder quality at R1 on inverter board
- 3
Check compressor and refrigerant cycle
- 4
If no fault found, replace inverter PCB
