Error Code COMP_START_FAILURE
Compressor failed to start up properly
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: Inverter LED blinks 1 time
What This Means
Short circuit between compressor U, V, or W phase terminals (CN102); Short among IPM pins 1~26 on inverter board; IPM operating voltage dropped below DC 13.5V; Compressor motor winding failure; Refrigerant cycle problem
What actually causes this:
The compressor motor could not get running, possibly because its windings are shorted or the inverter board has failed.
First Thing to Check
Wait 5 minutes for the inverter to reset, then cycle power and listen for the compressor to attempt starting.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check for shorts between compressor terminals U, V, W at CN102
- 2
Check IPM voltage — must be above DC 13.5V
- 3
Inspect IPM pins 1~26 for shorts
- 4
If no electrical fault found, check compressor and refrigerant cycle
- 5
Verify 5-minute standby before restart attempt
