Error Code FREEZER_FAN_ERROR
Freezer evaporator fan is not spinning
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: F LED blinks
What This Means
Fan motor failure (mechanical or electrical); Bad wiring connection or open circuit at CN31-8/9; Fan blade blocked by ice accumulation; MAIN PCB relay or drive circuit failure; Rotation pulse feedback absent at CN31-7
What actually causes this:
The fan that circulates air over the freezer evaporator coil has stopped working, usually due to ice buildup or a failed motor.
First Thing to Check
Run forced defrost (Fd mode) for 5 minutes, then check if the fan spins freely without obstruction.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Enter test mode and verify compressor is running
- 2
Measure voltage between CN31-8 and CN31-9; should be DC 7~12V during operation
- 3
Check CN31-7 pulse signal (CN31-7 to CN31-9); expect ~2~3V AC with multimeter during rotation
- 4
If no voltage at CN31-8/9, check CN31-1/2 for 0V (door open signal)
- 5
Check CN31-1/2; normal closed-door reading is 4.5~5V
- 6
Verify door switch operates correctly
- 7
If voltage present but fan not spinning, fan motor has failed
- 8
If no voltage, replace Main PCB
