Error Code FREEZER_HIGH_TEMP_ALERT

Freezer temperature is too warm right now

Minor

Usually easy to fix - may resolve on its own

Also displayed as: Freezer temperature display blinks

What This Means

Door left open for extended period; Large amount of hot food recently loaded; Compressor or fan failure (check other error codes); Ambient temperature extremely high

What actually causes this:

The freezer got warm, usually because the door was left open or a large load of warm food was added. Not necessarily a malfunction.

First Thing to Check

Check that the freezer drawer is completely closed and the door gasket is sealing properly.

How to Fix

  1. 1

Check if door was recently left open

  2. 2

Check if hot food was stored

  3. 3

If no obvious cause, check for other error codes (fan, compressor)

  4. 4

Monitor temperatures — error clears automatically when temperature normalizes
