Error Code FREEZER_SENSOR_ERROR
Freezer temperature sensor is faulty or disconnected
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: F LED blinks (Freezer indicator)
What This Means
Bad contact or disconnected connector at MAIN PCB CN31 pins 5 and 6; Open or shorted thermistor sensor element (0Ω = short, ∞Ω = open); Iced-over solder joint, solder bridging, or disturbed solder on PCB; Failed MAIN PCB MICOM IC01 pin 7
What actually causes this:
The thermistor that measures freezer temperature has an open or short circuit, usually from a bad connector or a failed sensor element.
First Thing to Check
Open the back panel and firmly reseat the connector at CN31 on the main board.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check that MAIN PCB connector CN31 is fully seated
- 2
Measure voltage between CN31-5 and CN31-6; should be 4.5V~1.0V range
- 3
Measure MICOM IC01 pin 7 voltage; should match CN31-5/6 reading
- 4
Disconnect CN31 and measure sensor resistance; compare to temperature table DATA1
- 5
If resistance is 0Ω replace sensor (short). If ∞Ω replace sensor (open)
- 6
Check solder quality at R309 on PCB
