Error Code FRIDGE_FAN_ERROR
Refrigerator compartment fan is not spinning
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: R LED blinks
What This Means
Fan motor failure; Bad wiring connection at CN30-8/9; Ice blockage of fan blade; MAIN PCB drive circuit failure; Rotation pulse feedback absent at CN30-7
What actually causes this:
The fan that circulates cool air through the refrigerator section has stopped, meaning the fridge will not cool properly.
First Thing to Check
Listen for the fan when the door is open — if it was running before and stopped, first check for ice blockage behind the back panel.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Measure voltage between CN30-8 and CN30-9; should be DC 7~12V during operation
- 2
Check CN30-7 pulse signal; expect ~2~3V with multimeter during rotation
- 3
Check door switch state at CN30-1/2
- 4
Replace fan motor if voltage present but motor not spinning
- 5
Replace Main PCB if no drive voltage
