Error Code HUMIDITY-SENSOR
Internal humidity sensor has failed or is disconnected
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: R blinks (humidity sensor indicator — CN60 item 13 in self-diagnosis list)
What This Means
Failed HTG3515CH or HTG3535CH humidity sensor; Loose CN60 connector; Open or shorted sensor element (open circuit reads ~50 Ω); Bad solder at R218 (IC01 MICOM pin 8) on Main PCB
What actually causes this:
The sensor monitoring humidity inside the refrigerator has stopped working — may affect the automatic moisture control in the crisper area.
First Thing to Check
Inspect the CN60 connector on the Main PCB — reseat it firmly.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Verify CN60 connector is fully seated
- 2
Measure voltage between CN60 pin 7 (W/YEL) and CN90 pin 8 — expect 1.0V to 3.5V (scaled from 909 mV at 0%RH to 3683 mV at 100%RH)
- 3
Disconnect and check resistance at CN60-7 to CN90-8; open circuit resistance ~50 Ω
- 4
Replace humidity sensor if reading is outside table values
- 5
If sensor is correct, check solder at R218 and consider replacing PCB
