Error Code ICE-MAKER-SENSOR
Ice maker temperature sensor in freezer is failed or unplugged
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: F blinks (ice maker sensor indicator — CN90 item 8 in self-diagnosis list)
What This Means
Failed ice maker sensor (103** type, 20 kΩ at room temperature); Disconnected CN90 connector; Damaged sensor wiring; Poor solder at R904 (IC01 MICOM pin 13) on Main PCB
What actually causes this:
The sensor inside the ice maker that monitors harvest temperature has failed, stopping the ice-making cycle.
First Thing to Check
Open the freezer and press the Ice Maker button on the panel to confirm it is set to ON, then check whether ice maker error is displayed.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check CN90 connector is fully and correctly seated on Main PCB
- 2
Measure voltage between CN90 pin 11 (WHT) and pin 13 (WHT) — must be 0.6V to 4.6V
- 3
Disconnect and measure resistance between CN90 pin 11 and pin 13
- 4
0 Ω = short; ∞ Ω = open — replace ice maker sensor
- 5
If resistance seems correct, measure voltage at R904 on PCB (IC01 MICOM pin 13); if abnormal, resolder PCB
