Error Code F_FAN_ERROR
Freezer fan motor not running or lost RPM signal
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: F FAN ERROR
What This Means
Fan motor mechanical failure or jam; Bad connector contact at CN20 pin 14; Missing or weak pulse signal from fan motor; Ice blockage restricting fan rotation; Wiring disconnection; MAIN PCB relay failure
What actually causes this:
The freezer fan is either stuck by ice or not receiving power signal, preventing cold air circulation to the freezer
First Thing to Check
Listen if fan runs; check for ice blockage; ensure room is warmer than 66F
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check CN20 connector insertion at pin 14 (PNK)
- 2
Verify DC 7-12V supply to fan motor at CN20 pins 16 (S/RED) and CN20 pin 18 (W/BLK)
- 3
Listen for fan motor rotation
- 4
Measure pulse signal at CN20 pin 14 (should toggle with motor rotation)
- 5
Manually check fan for ice or obstruction
- 6
Check room temperature (must be above 66.2F/19C for normal operation)
