Error Code PANTRY-DAMPER-HEATER-ERROR
Pantry compartment damper heater is burned out or disconnected
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: F and R blink (pantry room damper heater error — item 27 in self-diagnosis list)
What This Means
Failed damper heater element; Open bimetal thermoprotector for pantry heater (same spec: off at 140°F/60°C); Disconnected wiring at CN40; PCB relay failure on Main PCB
What actually causes this:
The heater that prevents the pantry drawer damper from freezing shut has failed.
First Thing to Check
Check CN40 connector on the Main PCB for a secure, fully-seated connection.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Disconnect CN40 from Main PCB
- 2
Measure resistance between CN40 pin 25 (Brown) and CN40 pin 27 (Black)
- 3
Expected: 135 Ω ±7%
- 4
0 Ω = heater shorted; ∞ Ω = open heater, bimetal, or broken wire
- 5
Check MICOM pin 91 voltage: at initial power on or heater off should be 3.5V to 4.8V; when heater is working output drops to 0V
- 6
If resistance is correct but heater does not activate, check PCB driver transistor and relay for CN40 circuit
