Error Code R_SENSOR
Fresh food compartment temperature sensor failure
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: R Sensor Error
What This Means
Bad connector contact at CN20 pin 9 and 11; Open circuit in sensor wiring; Short circuit in sensor; Water infiltration on sensor connector; Sensor resistance drift due to age
What actually causes this:
The refrigerator compartment temperature sensor lost connection or failed, so the fridge cannot maintain proper cooling temperature
First Thing to Check
Verify connector CN20 is fully seated and check for any visible moisture
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check CN20 connector insertion at MAIN PCB
- 2
Measure voltage between CN20 pins 9 and 11
- 3
Measure resistance between CN20 pins 9 and 11 (color: W/YEL and WHT)
- 4
Compare to temperature table DATA1
- 5
Check for water damage on connector
This Error Applies To
