Water tank heater has failed or its circuit is broken

Moderate

Address soon - your appliance may not work properly

Also displayed as: F and R blink (water tank heater error — item 30 in self-diagnosis list)

What This Means

Failed water tank heater element; Open bimetal or thermal fuse; Disconnected CN60 wiring; PCB failure

What actually causes this:

The heater that keeps the internal water tank from freezing in cold conditions has failed.

First Thing to Check

Try dispensing water — if it is frozen or very slow, the tank may have frozen solid.

Parts Involved

Water tank heater (DC12V, 2.3W)Main PCBCN60 connector

How to Fix

  1. 1

Disconnect CN40/CN60 from Main PCB (the manual references CN60 pins 21 and 23 despite the header naming CN40)

  2. 2

Measure resistance between CN60 pin 21 and pin 23

  3. 3

    Expected: 62 Ω ±7%

  4. 4

    0 Ω = short; ∞ Ω = open — replace heater or trace open circuit to bimetal/fuse

  5. 5

Check PCB output relay if resistance is correct
