What This Means

Red temperature sensor at center of dry heater operated above 145C; Temperature sensing unstable due to functional degradation; Steam heater fault

What actually causes this:

The dryer heater overheated (possibly from restricted airflow or a failing sensor) and the safety cutoff tripped.

First Thing to Check

Unplug the washer, wait 30 minutes for it to cool, then plug it back in and try again.

    1. Press the button at the center of the dry heater temperature sensor lightly to reset

  2. 2

    2. Check if machine operates normally after reset

  3. 3

    3. If temperature sensing is unstable from degradation, replace temperature sensor

  4. 4

    4. Check steam heater — replace if faulty
