What This Means
Power condition fault — under or over voltage supplied; Plug receptacle (power strip/extension cord) is used; Main PBA fault (sometimes); Momentary voltage drop up to 10V when extension cord is 1m or longer
What actually causes this:
The washer is plugged into a power strip or extension cord that cannot supply enough power, especially during the heating or spin cycles.
First Thing to Check
Make sure the washer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not into a power strip or extension cord.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
1. Check consumer's power conditions — verify operating voltage
- 2
2. Connect a tester to internal power terminals during Boil or Dry operations and observe
- 3
3. Check voltages — error occurs when under or over voltage is supplied
- 4
4. Check whether a plug receptacle (power strip) is used — when connecting wire is 1m, momentary low voltage may drop up to 10V
- 5
5. If Main PBA fault suspected, check DC voltage output: normal approx. 12V and 5V
