Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: C39 referenced in self-diagnosis text
What This Means
Failed ice maker kit; Bad wiring to ice maker motor; Main PCB signal failure at IC01 pin 90 (test switch) or pin 21 (motor load); Water valve failure — no water supply to tray
What actually causes this:
The ice maker mechanism in the fridge compartment has stopped working — the motor, heater, or sensor within the unit has failed.
First Thing to Check

Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Press ice maker test switch for over 1.5 seconds — ice maker should rotate
- 2
Check MICOM IC01 pin 90; standby = 5V, test switch pressed = 0V
- 3
Check MICOM IC01 pin 21 (motor load); standby = 0V, motor running = 5V
- 4
Check MICOM IC01 pin 22 (blade ice scoop); should change 0V → 4.9V → 4.9V → 0V through cycle
- 5
Verify water fills tray within 6 minutes of cycle completion
- 6
Replace ice maker kit if motor/switch functions verify as failed
- 7
Check water valve if no water fills
