Error Code ICE_MAKER_SENSOR
Ice maker temperature sensor malfunction or disconnection
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: ICE Maker Sensor Error
What This Means
Bad connector contact at CN90; Sensor resistance out of range; Open circuit (infinite resistance); Short circuit (zero resistance); Water infiltration on sensor or connector
What actually causes this:
The temperature sensor in the ice maker mold lost electrical contact, got wet, or the sensor itself failed. This prevents the refrigerator from knowing when ice is frozen and ready.
First Thing to Check
Verify the connector at CN90 is fully seated and check for water damage around the connection
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check CN90 connector insertion at MAIN PCB
- 2
Measure voltage between CN90 pins 11 and 13
- 3
Measure resistance between CN90 pins 11 and 13
- 4
Check for ice buildup or solder damage on PCB
- 5
Verify sensor resistance against temperature table
