Error Code C_FAN_ERROR
Condenser cooling fan not operating or speed signal lost
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: C FAN ERROR
What This Means
Fan motor mechanical failure; Bad connector contact at CN40 pin 11; Missing pulse signal from motor rotation; Ice or dust blockage in fan; Wiring disconnection from PCB; MAIN PCB relay or control circuit failure
What actually causes this:
The back cooling fan is blocked by dust or not receiving power signal, reducing condenser cooling efficiency
First Thing to Check
Listen for fan operation; check for dust buildup in machine compartment; verify room temperature above 66F
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check CN40 connector insertion at pin 11
- 2
Verify DC 7-12V supply at CN40 pins 13 (S/BLU) and CN40 pin 15 (W/GRY)
- 3
Listen for condenser fan motor rotation
- 4
Measure pulse signal at CN40 pin 11 (should toggle during rotation)
- 5
Inspect fan for dust buildup or mechanical obstruction
- 6
Check ambient temperature above 66.2F/19C
