Error Code COMP-MOTOR-LOCKED

Compressor is mechanically stuck or running too slowly

Moderate

Address soon - your appliance may not work properly

Also displayed as: F and R blink in sequence — Motor Locked/Over RPM pattern

What This Means

Compressor mechanically seized or locked rotor; Refrigerant system restriction (blocked capillary tube, restricted dryer); Compressor started before pressure equalization (less than 7-minute delay); Sudden input voltage spike or sag; Compressor wiring issue

What actually causes this:

The compressor cannot turn — it is either seized, the refrigerant system is blocked, or it was started too soon after shutting off.

First Thing to Check

If the unit was recently moved or power just came back on, wait 10 full minutes before expecting the compressor to start.

Parts Involved

CompressorInverter PCBRefrigerant cycle

How to Fix

  1. 1

Wait 10 minutes for pressure equalization before retesting

  2. 2

Confirm input voltage is stable (110–127V or 220–240V AC as applicable)

  3. 3

Verify compressor wire connections at CN04 are secure

  4. 4

Check refrigerant cycle — excessive suction pressure may indicate restriction

  5. 5

If compressor is mechanically locked, replace compressor assembly
