The water direction controller at the bottom isn't moving properly
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: No display (7C in recall)
What This Means
Motor gear (vane motor) is out of order; Sensor vane is out of order; Vane is physically blocked by dishes or debris
What actually causes this:
The mechanism that aims water spray in different directions is stuck or the position sensor failed
First Thing to Check
Check if a large dish or pan in the bottom rack might be physically blocking the spray mechanism
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
1. Check the connections for the motor vane and sensor vane connectors — reconnect
- 2
2. Check whether the coil in motor vane is conductive (remove connectors before measuring) — check resistance between Red and Black wire (CCW) and between White and Black wire (CW). Normal: approximately 1.625-1.796k ohms
- 3
3. Check position sensing with sensor vane (use n5 Service test mode) — check conduction between Brown and Black wire. Sensor ON: 0V, Sensor OFF: 5V
- 4
4. Adjust Motion Assembly and find the fault — replace if faulty
- 5
5. Check whether motor vane is operating normally — check operation voltage: Normal 110-120V. CCW: voltage between CN401 pin 8 (Red) and CN101 White. CW: voltage between CN401 pin 7 (White) and CN101 White. Normal: 110-120V while operating
- 6
6. Check the Power Relay
