Humidity sensor in the fridge compartment has failed

What This Means

Humidity sensor module failed; Connector CN34-4 or CN34-6 loose; Moisture damage to sensor; Wiring damage

What actually causes this:

The humidity sensor that helps manage door condensation and energy saver mode has failed.

First Thing to Check

Check the combined humidity/ambient sensor module connector inside the refrigerator.

Humidity sensor (HTG3515CH or HTG3535CH)Main PCB CN34 connector

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Check voltage at MAIN PCB CN34-4 to CN34-6: should be between 1.0V and 3.5V

  2. 2

    Humidity sensor open resistance is approximately 50 ohm

  3. 3

    Check MICOM IC01 pin #8 voltage (R349 on PCB)

  4. 4

    Cross-reference DATA2 Humidity Sensor table (HTG3515CH/HTG3535CH)
