Error Code 2
Refrigerator compartment temperature sensor has failed or disconnected
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: Error 2
What This Means
Thermistor open circuit or short circuit; Connector CN30-5 or CN30-6 loose or disconnected; Wiring harness damage; Failed R-SENSOR thermistor (502AT type)
What actually causes this:
The fridge temperature sensor has failed or its wire connector is loose, so the board cannot tell how cold the fridge is.
First Thing to Check
Reseat or wiggle the sensor connector at the back of the refrigerator compartment near the evaporator cover.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check voltage at MAIN PCB CN30-5 to CN30-6: should be between 1.0V and 4.5V
- 2
Disconnect connector and measure thermistor resistance; compare to DATA1 temperature table
- 3
Check resistance R304 (MICOM IC01 pin #5) on PCB
- 4
0 ohm indicates short; infinite ohm indicates open
