What This Means

Damper heater element failed; Bimetal or wiring open; Connector CN75-11 to CN75-12 loose

What actually causes this:

The heater that keeps the temperature-control flap for the middle drawer from freezing shut has failed.

This is an internal component — call a service technician to check the mid drawer damper heater.

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Disconnect MAIN PCB CN75, measure resistance at CN75-11 to CN75-12: should be 135 ohm ±7%

  2. 2

    0 ohm = heater short; infinite ohm = wire/bimetal open

  3. 3

    Check MICOM IC01 pin #91 voltage: 3.5V-4.8V when heater off, 0V when heater on
