What This Means

Locked rotor compressor operated within 5 seconds; Compressor running below 1000 RPM for more than 5 seconds; Sudden large voltage change; Refrigeration system issue (high head pressure)

What actually causes this:

The compressor motor has locked up or is running too slowly — often from a mechanical compressor failure or unusually high system pressure.

First Thing to Check

Check that the condenser fan at the back/bottom is running and that the condenser coils are not clogged with dust.
