Error Code FREEZER-FAN-ERROR

Freezer fan motor is not running or not sending feedback

Moderate

Address soon - your appliance may not work properly

Also displayed as: F blinks (freezer fan error — CN20 item 21 in self-diagnosis list)

What This Means

Failed BLDC freezer fan motor; Blocked fan blade (ice accumulation or foreign object); Disconnected or broken wiring to fan motor; Fan supply voltage low (should be 7–12V DC on CN20 pin 16 to pin 18); Main PCB relay or driver failure

What actually causes this:

The fan that blows cold air off the evaporator coil is stuck or burned out — without it neither compartment cools properly.

First Thing to Check

Listen for fan noise; if absent, open freezer and check the evaporator cover area for ice buildup blocking the fan.

Parts Involved

BLDC freezer fan motor (DC12V, 2.5W, AIO Q7, Φ120)Main PCBCN20 connector

How to Fix

  1. 1

Execute manual operation (forced run) mode via Fridge + Power Cool held 6 seconds, then press Power Cool

  2. 2

With compressor running, measure voltage between CN20 pin 16 (S/RED) and CN20 pin 18 (W/BLK) — should be 7–12V DC

  3. 3

If voltage is present but fan does not spin, check for ice blockage around fan blade

  4. 4

If voltage alternates between 7–12V and below 2V, the motor is trying to start but is stalled — clear obstruction or replace motor

  5. 5

Measure pulse signal on CN20 pin 14 (PNK) with a multimeter — should read ~2–3V average (pulse signal)
