What This Means

Slipped out sensor housing; Wire cut or short; Sensor pickup temperature over +65°C or under -50°C; Defective sensor connection

What actually causes this:

The refrigerator's fridge compartment temperature sensor wire came loose, was cut, or the sensor itself failed and now reads impossible temperatures

First Thing to Check

Unplug the refrigerator and check if the temperature sensor wire is still connected to the main control board

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Check voltage between MAIN PCB CN30 #5 AND #6 (should be 4.5V~1.0V)

  2. 2

    Verify sensor housing is properly seated

  3. 3

    Check wiring for cuts or damage
